The purpose of this programme is to develop skills in the critical area of Information Technology (IT) Governance. The urgent demand for competent personnel has been increasing over time globally. This demand is coupled with the need for IT Governance and Compliance expertise.

The Advanced Certificate in Information Technology Governance is designed to address some of the critical areas to building a developmental information society, as identified by the South African Department of Communications, such as governance, skills development, SMME development, information ethics and ICT rural development. The programme provides students with a bright future in the IT field as they can take up ample jobs as individuals specialising in governance and compliance and grow to become governance, risks and compliance analysts, and further grow into control, monitoring and testing and risk managers.
