How do I apply for the MBA?

You need to complete the official MBA Enrolment Form and submit supporting documents: certified ID copy, matric results, proof of previous qualifications, updated CV, proof of residence, and evidence of work experience. Once your application is reviewed, you may be required to complete an online assessment (R1,000), followed by an interview with the Postgraduate Committee. A non-refundable application fee (R750) and a registration deposit (R5,000) are payable upon acceptance.

What are the admission requirements?

Applicants must have:

An Honours degree or Postgraduate Diploma (NQF level 8), or an equivalent qualification.

Relevant work experience.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) may apply.

Entrance assessment and a panel interview.

An application deposit of R700 is required, and applicants are responsible for the entrance test fee (R1,000).


How many cohorts are there per year?

Richfield MBA offers multiple intakes (including mid-year), allowing flexibility for working professionals. Students can choose to start at the beginning of the year or mid-year, depending on availability.

How is the MBA delivered – online or in person?

The programme is offered in distance/online learning format, complemented by face-to-face workshops. Classes run on weekday evenings (micro-burst sessions) and occasional Saturday workshops at Richfield’s mega campuses in Bryanston, Umhlanga, and Cape Town.

The Richfield MBA runs over 2 years (NQF 9, 180 credits). The programme includes 9 core modules, 1 elective, 2 optional non-credit modules, and a compulsory mini-dissertation.
