The Information Technology & Research Foundation is a non-credit bearing programme designed to equip students with essential foundational knowledge and practical competencies in Information Technology, research, programming, emerging technologies, digital innovation, etc. The programme provides a strong foundation for individuals seeking to progress into postgraduate studies in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or other related disciplines. It is also suitable for professionals seeking to strengthen their digital and technological competencies in an increasingly technology-driven workplace.
The programme is structured to provide students with a broad understanding of the fundamental concepts, principles, and applications of Information Technology, while developing the analytical, research, mathematical, programming, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills required to operate effectively in contemporary digital environments. Students are introduced to key areas such as emerging technologies, digital transformation, research methodologies.

You can gain admission to the BSc Honours Bridging Program for BSc Honours in Information Technology if you meet one of the following and meet English language proficiency requirements:

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Mature Age Exemption
For students above the age of 23 as set out in the Higher Education Regulations.
