The Diploma in Information Technology gives you a strong foundation across key areas of the IT industry, so you can develop a versatile skill set to build your career.

You’ll cover everything from networks and databases to software development and systems analysis. As you progress, you’ll also have the opportunity to specialise by choosing one of three elective streams.

Admission Requirements

You can gain admission to the Diploma in Information Technology if you meet one of the following:

  • National Senior Certificate

    A National Senior Certificate (NSC) with an endorsement for admission to a Higher Certificate and/or Diploma and/or Degree.

  • National Certificate Vocational (NCV)

    NQF Level 4 with appropriate subject combination and levels of achievements.

  • Mature Age Exemption

    For students above the age of 23 as set out in the Higher Education Regulations.

  • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
