Purpose of Qualification
The purpose of this qualification is to produce fully competent hairdressers. Learners will acquire skills needed as hairdressers such as, hair and scalp treatments, cuts and styles hair, and they must be able to perform chemical hairdressing services in a professional, safe and environmentally responsible manner.

Assessment of Programme
Institute of Health Hair and Beauty Technology will conduct internal assessments by means of assessment activities and signed-off work experience log sheets. Upon successful completion of all modules, Institute of Health Hair and Beauty Technology provides a statement of results to the candidate and QCTO, as part of the candidate’s application to complete the External Summative Assessment conducted by the QCTO.
