National Certificate in Chemical Engineering N4-N6
Nated Engineering Qualifications 1 Year Register OnlineThe programme progresses through three levels. Each N level takes place over one trimester.
After each trimester, students are eligible for a National Certificate on that level. We
recommend continuing through all three levels in order to qualify for the National Diploma.
The National Diploma requires students to work for 24 months in the Chemical field before
they are entitled to receive a National Diploma.

Learning Outcomes
- Identify, evaluate, formulate and solve process related technical and operational problems.
- Design process equipment in order to modify existing sections of the plant.
- Plan and implement the production of required products.
- Plan and implement projects using project management tools and skills
- Have knowledge of the Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) impacts of chemical processing activities in order to identify the impacts and measures used to control these impacts.
- Use IT in the application of engineering methods, skills and tools.
Section 6
National Diploma: Chemical Engineering
Completion of National Certificates: Chemical Engineering N4, N5 and N6 as above plus 24 months of practical experience in a workplace leads to the National Diploma in Chemical Engineering.
